Google has finally unveiled the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean on an event held at San Fransisco. As of now, this update is available for Google’s own Nexus devices only. But soon, it will be seen on most of the flagship devices like Galaxy S4, Xperia Z, HTC One and LG Optimus G Pro. There are many devices capable of running this update but no manufacturer (including Samsung) hasn’t quoted a single word about providing the same. Obviously, whenever Samsung will roll out Android 4.3 update, their flagship device- Galaxy S4 will be the first to get this update. Now, you might be wondering- what happened to Galaxy S3 and Note 2?
Recently, it has been confirmed that Note 2 won’t be getting any Android 4.2.2 update (Galaxy S3 isn’t confirmed yet). It will be directly upgraded to Android 4.3. As Samsung has decided to skip Android 4.2.2 update, it will take some more time for them to build and roll out Android 4.3 for this device. Till then you’ll have to stick with Android 4.1.2 only. Side by side, Samsung is constantly improving the current Android 4.1.2 firmware. As a result, Note 2 users are getting frequent updates to their current firmware.
Samsung has rolled out another update of Android 4.1.2 having build number XXDMG1. Many users reported about the battery drain issue, this update fixes the same. Also, it improves the system performance along with stability of the phone. But since this is a Stock firmware, don’t expect to have less bloatwares (you can remove them by rooting the phone though).
This update is available through Kies in India. You can also use OTA function to update your phablet to Android 4.1.2 XXDMG1 Jelly Bean firmware. But if you reside outside the India, no worries! We’ve provided the step by step instructions below, with which you can manually flash this update on your phone.
Just go through each and every step and finally enjoy XXDMG1 firmware on your Note 2. So, here we go..
